Welcome to Sir Gurudas Mahavidyalaya

Gurudas College of Commerce was established in 1968 affiliated to the University of Calcutta and enlisted under Section 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act. The name of the College is changed to SIR GURUDAS MAHAVIDYALAYA due to its conversion from unifaculty to multifaculty Institution

 

Newly Admitted Students of 1st Year

  1. All B.A./ B.Sc. (H,G,M) newly admitted students of 1st year are to assemble in Room No. -7 on 16.07.2014 at 11.00 A.M. where the Principal and the Professors of the college will address them.
  2. All B.Com. (H,G) newly admitted students of 1st year are to assemble in Room No. 14 on 16.07.2014 at 1.00 P.M. where the Principal and the Professors of the college will address them.
  3. Classes for the students of all streams/ subjects will commence on and from 17.07.2014 (Thursday) as per the class routine.

Academic Session -2014-‘15

Classes for B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com. (H,G,M) of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year will commence on and from 17.07.2014 (Thursday) as per the routine published on the college notice board.

However, 2nd and 3rd year students of B.A. and B.Sc. are to attend classes from a date not later than 7 days from the last date of their Part-I and Part-II final examination respectively.

There is a plan to introduce self-employment oriented courses such as Air-conditioning, Xerox machine repair, repair of different scientific apparatus, small ventures, dealings in stock exchange, Nursery, Cultivation of Silk warm etc. for the benefit of neighbouring slum people.
